I think that talking about bad occurrences in
life whether that be a dream, drama, or news, does give them too much power.
They really can take over us and how we think and view things after the
occurrence. It makes us question our friends, family it can put us in a whole
new world. Also they can be used to do things like gain attention as people
feel bad for you or things like that. It’s just not good to talk about them
because it really does affect how we feel about certain things in our life.
I’ve known of this to happen because I had a bad dream once which was just
crazy and I told my friend back in the day and he thought I was crazy and
didn’t talk to me for like two days. The bad dream I had made my friend think I
was crazy even though it was just a dream, not real. That right there shows the
bad dreams do have a lot of power and can really change how people view things
like how my friend viewed me.
I think that dreams do tell a lot about us. Most
of the time things that we dream about our things that we like in real life. It
helps us realize who we are and what we want to do in life. I dream about
sports all the time just in a bunch of different ways. Sports are something I
really do enjoy in life especially basketball. I’ve dreamed so much of basketball
I can’t even say how many times I’ve dreamed of basketball. I also really like
video games and there’s been plenty of dreams involving a video game. The
things we dream about normally are in our everyday life and sometimes we have
dreams that may surprise us. Something we don’t do much in life but seems fun
and maybe happens later in life. Dreams are like our own personal book, about
our life.
I seem to be a person who does remember a lot
from the past maybe not everything but a lot. Things that appeal to me or our
funny normally stay with me in my mind. There’s times I’ll tell my friends now
something in middle school and they will be like how do you remember that. I
feel like it’s better to have a good memory then someone who doesn’t really
remember much. It’s good to look back on the fun memories you’ve had in life,
what makes your life so memorable. I remember middle the school the best and
elementary school I barely remember. I have a much better time recalling happy
and funny memories that’s why they stick with me. There’s some angry, sad, and
embarrassing memories but happy memories is about 90% it seems like. It’s just
better to remember the happier memories than the sad ones.
I think that as you get older, it is harder to learn and try new
things but it certainly isn't impossible. When you get older you just start to
slow down, you aren’t as active, don’t want to learn as much it’s just a
natural part of life. Now there will be some people with the mindset of what
they are doing is boring they want to try new things and they will. Although
most of the time people don’t learn as much because they just don’t have the
drive or passion to. Being older it seems like the mindset is to think of what
is going on or is important. There isn’t much to distract older people and they
don’t seem to want to be distracted. They want to focus on their job, what's
going on in the world, their family stuff like that.
I am like you--I often remember things that other people don't, really specific, kind of obscure things, even from elementary and middle school.
